He beautiful describes it in the following words. “It was like being reacquainted with an old friend; I knew just what to do with it and the first sculpture I created was of a human head. My teacher was so impressed that he paraded my sculpture around all the classrooms. I never forgot that feeling because it wasn’t me that was the center of attention, it was what I created that captivated the audience.” The Birth Of His Sculptures Despite this magical experience, it was only after Chukes left college in 1984 without a degree that motivated him to become a professional sculptor. He took 9 years to better himself, master, and understand the nature of clay to create the artistic visions that consumed much of my thoughts. He would soon go on to exhibit his sculptures in renowned local art festivals and art events. With perseverance and determination, he continued to challenge himself as an artist. His main goal was to use his artistic skills to educate and inform all people of the beauty and creative energy we possess as a human race. Success Was Destined His work is now exhibited and collected in prominent galleries, museums, college institutions, and private collections worldwide, as well as by countless noted art collectors. His sculptures and paintings have been published in several books and magazines, as well as featured in television and movies. Womens Strength To Medusa What we at FashionGHANA.com have learned to love most about his beautiful designs is the stunning depiction of the African beauty features and the powerful embracement of Medusa-like decorations. Chukes has never mentioned Medusa as an influence, but he has been consistent with his enthusiasm for the strength of women. Take away the negative tonations and branding of Medusa, she is one to be recognized in the historical field of powerful women. For now, enjoy his work below.
