When it comes to the history of African pageantry, Olivia Yace definitely had a great run as Miss Cote d’Ivoire.
The pageant which long had a reputation for only filtering through light-skinned girls as their winners took a turn for once, and that once set the tone for their most popular winner to date.
Her success has been heavily stamped in the Ivorien nation, so much so that the follow-up queen might just indicate Olivia Yace’s success has set a pace for future Miss Cote d’Ivoire future winners.
Olivia recently visited Ghana to participate as a judge for the Miss Grand Ghana 2022 finals and took the opportunity to shoot with fast rising photography brand Nue Shot. The stunning images unveiled the former queen in beautiful outfits by two Ivorien designers, which happened to be Dentella by Nadia, and Ibrahim Fernandez.
The photographer took to his instagram to publish the images alongside a beautiful poem titled ‘The Oli Experience’ written for Olivia Yace that we could not help but share with you right before the images. Read it below.
The doors opened, queen Olivia stood twice as tall, being greeted with the brightest smile and ushered into a beautiful atmosphere, followed by a melodic voice “you are welcomed, feel at home”.
It felt so surreal and there was Olivia’s mum, truly an apple doesn’t fall far from its tree.
She sat elegantly, as we exchanged greetings, she smiled at me and said welcome in the milkiest of voices.
I couldn’t hesitate to shower her with well deserving praises.
The entire session with Olivia was a beautiful experience and it’s no wonder she’s loved by all who has encountered her.
A deserving queen in all ramifications.
One that welcomes you with wide arms, shares her insecurities and makes you feel she’s human too.
Dear Olivia, stay beautiful and gorgeous.
Truly, angels among us.
