Impari Moda is a Germany-based fashion label founded by Jana Heinemann. A designer who is heavily influenced by the Berlin Afro scenes, the city in general, and various Residency abroad. The brand does not only mix different fabrics and prints, but also different styles.
The Label works with its own created Zero Waste Technique and reuses all the cutting waste. The goal of the Designer is to combine colors, originally and self-created prints with comfortability, sustainability, and individuality.
The fashion brand caught the attention of the African fashion scene when it first launched its virtual show at Accra Fashion Week 2020 during the covid pandemic. They further made more history with their latest collection 11:11 also exhibited at Accra Fashion Week in 2021, as seen below.
But it seems the highlight, expensive bars, and metropolitan parts of Accra were not the only beauty that caught the eyes of Jana Heinemann. She was also dazzled by the magic of Makola, which inspired her recent short fashion film titled ‘Magic Of Makola’. The film stars Ghana-based Nigerian model Clinton Samuel, who is seen strolling across various parts of the very busy Makola Market all whilst rocking some of the most memorable men’s pieces from the 11:11 collection.
