In the past year, we have seen attempts by D Black, Obrafour, Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie, John Dumelo, Stephen Appiah, and more make announcements on fashion activities, however, only Sark Collections fairly stood its grounds. Recent news has revealed Guru, the Lapaz Toyota hit single rapper, is now stepping into the fashion limelight with his unisex line for both men and women. That rapper who feels his fan base would love to wear his clothes also made it clear to the graphic newspaper, the label would include for men jeans, footwear, and jackets, while the ladies’ will include shoes, skirts, T-shirts, and African designs. Guru stated “I want to wear my own clothes to push my brand higher even though I am already a star. My fans want it and I am ready to give it to them soon,” he continued “I know many artists have failed to make their clothing lines work but Guru will prove a point, very soon, Ghanaians will wear my clothes and I am very serious about it,” he noted. Guru has made a good number of hits since his Lapaz Toyota single, let’s see if he will be different and be as consistent with his label as Sark collections.
