Ghana’s Accra Mall once again organized the 2021 edition of the Accra Mall Fashion Weekend to promote their inhouse fashion stores within the mall. The event is an annual two-day extravagant fashion show featured clothing, jewellery, and digital accessories from retailers at the mall.
Metamorphosis: Accra Mall Fashion Weekend
This year’s edition was held on Friday, 3rd September 2021 and themed ‘Metamorphosis’. The fashion show, which took place at the Accra Mall Food Court, saw the display of ready-to-wear clothes from Woodin, all types of jewellery and accessory from Pandora, and beautiful casual outfits for both men and women from Nallem and Mr Price.
The runway shows were executed on Friday and the announcement of the winner of the annual Future Fashion Fund on Saturday. The Future Fashion Fund is an initiative by the Accra Mall Fashion Week that awards new designer talents within a designer competition.
AL Woman Wins $3000 Accra Mall Fashion Fund
Brands participating in this year’s competition were Pop Gray, Hanardry, AL Woman, La’del By Dela, and Nasarks, with AL Women scooping the $3000 winners prize.
The brand was founded by Alleluia Pappoe and originally began as Alleluyah, only just changed its name in 2020. AL Woman has been behind the looks of many celebrities from S3fa to Wendy Shay to Cina Soul just to name a few.
On the eve, AL Woman presented a GTP print collection pondering on indigo and electric purple colours as the prime contrast, with a slight influence of the 60s victorian era touch. The sophisticated collection scoop the designer her $3000 prize money and had the audience amazed. Watch it below.

All-African Leather Fair (AALF): the trade show organizing by The Ethiopian Leather Industries Association
(ELIA) from the first edition in 2008 up to 12th successfully. AALF brings together tanners, footwear and
other leather goods manufacturers, in addition of equipment and technology suppliers, chemical and
inputs suppliers, manpower training institutions, trade promotion organizations, etc from all over the
world.
