Renowned fashion designer Bri Wireduah just scooped the award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship awards at the just ended Ghana Disability Excellence Award 2021. Designer Bri Wireduah Bri is an artist in the pure sense with a passion for fashion expressed through various hobbies. Formally a pediatric nurse for a good amount of time, she later realized she couldn’t contain her creative juice and decided to study fashion to pass away time.

Bri Wireduah’s accomplishment and eccentric flamboyant personality would have many thinking she is in perfect state. However, the designer has managed to pull through successfully whilst battling her one legged condition as an amputee. A situation that doesn’t only have her managing with one leg, but also has her experiencing severe back pain from time to time.

Despite already winning many awards ahead of other designer brands in her league, the Ghana Disability Excellence Awards didn’t overlook Bri Wireduah’s talent for the year 2021. It was the second-ever edition of the event and it was held on Saturday 26th of September at the Accra Digital Center.

The event is an annual awards ceremony instituted by Friends of the Nation (FonGhana), in partnership with the Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations (GFD), and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.

The fashion designer took to her social media page to show gratitude. She stated “We’re super honored and grateful to have been honored at the @ghanadisabilityawards21 in the excellence in entrepreneurship category. It’s humbling to be chosen and honored amongst a vast number of equally amazing and capable nominees. We give glory to God and we vow to continue this journey and do you all proud. Special thanks to the committee and @ivanbanns for putting together this extraordinary initiative.”
