Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 2K Tickets to Ghana have skyrocketed as our government continues to extort the western appreciation of Ghanaian culture and humility, making it harder for many westerners to experience the beauty of the nation and somewhat having a negative effect on tourism right here in Accra. But if you are in USA, specifically speaking, the state of Tennesi, you are in luck. The city of Memphis is bringing Accra straight to your doorstep with the Memphis in May festival. Each year, Memphis in May International Festival aims to bring the world to Memphis and Memphis to the world. While the honored country is visible in all our event themes, we dedicate a whole week of our month’s programming to each year’s honored country during our International Salute. The International Salute is the perfect chance to wrap yourself in another country’s culture. This year the festival chose to honor Ghana, inviting both international rap star Sarkodie, dancehall artist Stonebwoy and founder of FashionGHANA.com and Accra Fashion Week Nana Tamakloe to the festival. Sarkodie and Stonebwoy for performances and, Nana Tamakloe to be honored for his contributions to Ghanaian arts and culture, all whilst celebrating the country with a ‘Salute To Ghana’.
