21-year-old Fashion model Isabella Fafa how now been appointed as the Face of Accra Fashion Week 2021/22 by the AFWk ltd organization committee. Isabella Fafa who has gradually built a name for herself on Instagram via her hilarious tiktok videos, as well as through editorials and runway shows will now be taking on the responsibilities of the Face of Accra Fashion Week 2022 title.
On the eve of December 12th, 2021, Isabella Fafa achieved finalist status amongst other contestants on the Face of AFWk status, receiving much applause from the audience. According to the judges, her reach from obtaining the title was limited by her lack of votes.
Isabella managed to score high amongst the judges but was cut short from her peers, winner Innocentia and 1st runner up Naana, who both excelled past her with extraordinary vote counts. However, fate always works its way to the deserving.
Due to work ethics and discipline, the Accra Fashion Week organizing committee concluded a runners-up will be best to forward the status of the Face of AFWk brand. The first runners up, Naana is currently schooling in the USA and is unable to return to Accra before December, leaving the title to be handed down to Isabella Fafa.
Isabella would now take on the responsibility of carrying the image of Accra Fashion Week as a model as well as a 2000 ghana cedis financial gift. Isabella who has already excelled in her career working with the likes of renowned photographers such as Sharon O Photography, and walking for one of the nation’s biggest shows, Fashion Connect Africa, is set to be a trailblazer in the world of Ghanaian fashion and beyond.
According to Nana Tamakloe “Isabella Fafa is perfect for the role, but it’s the same with everyone, it’s just about how well you are prepared to push it. Any model can bring something different, had Naana been in Accra, it would have been exciting as she would have been the first plus-size model to have carried the mantle. But Isabella is something different, she’s very determined, very disciplined, very pretty and has a doubled-edged beauty for commercial and editorial work. I’m looking forward to what will come from this.”
Isabella who began models in Early October stated she is excited about the role and will be celebrating the news with her family “I know I didn’t get the votes needed, one of the judges mentioned it to me after the competition was over. But I was proud of myself and I put in my all on the day of the show, and I could hear many people applaud for me. I wish we all could be winners, but I am grateful for the opportunity and I just want the world to see what I have instore. Thanks to Accra Fashion Week.”
Isabella’s status as Face of Accra Fashion Week begins today and her progress would be witnessed on her instagram page at www.instagram.com/isabella_fafa.
