Formely signed to Kumasi based Ghanaian agency, Ayo A Models, and walked many times at KNUST Fashion Week. The aspiring models took her chances in the Miss Malaika 2015 contest and won. She put on a brilliant performance where she displayed her talent as ace investigator and journalist Anas and wowed the crowd with her speech.
Due to the fact she was from outside Accra where the Miss Malaika 2015 event took place, her support from the crowd was very little, however that didn’t stop her from taking the crown.
Most pageant winners don’t really fit the bill as models or potential models, And even when they do, their organizers attempt to keep them prestigious, prevents them from participating in fashion activities. It would be interesting to see if Kukua Korsah will take advantage of her crown to propel her modelling ambitions which will help us identify if pageants can really push model careers in Ghana, or if she will maintain her cool as a pageant until her reign is over.
Performances on the night were by Stoneboi, MzVee and Asa from Nigeria. It was hosted by Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku and Bela Mundi. Judges on the night were John Dumelo, Victoria Michaels, Gwen Gyimah, Nathaniel Attoh and Charterhouse CEO Mrs Theresa Ayaode. On that note congratulations to Kukua Korsah.
