Novi Brown Steals The Show At The BET Awards 2022 In This Stunning Dress By Cote d’Ivoire’s Lafalaise Dionn
#OOTD: Ivorian Designer Lafalaise Dionn Blesses Novi Brown With BET’s Best Red Carpet Dress For 2022
The BET Awards came to an end yesterday on Monday 27th June where a European organization works to award the most impressive black musicians and black music orientated musicians.
Over the past 6 years, the organization began to welcome Africa into its nominations with the ‘International Act’ category which then open Africa’s attention to the awards show.
Besides the awards, the red carpet has always been one to watch, especially as a fashion blog. This year’s red carpet seemed fairly exaggerated and very little African influence to concern our blog, however, there is always the ray of light that shines through a dark tunnel, and that was sparked by the one and only queen of cowries Lafalaise Dionn.
Lafalaise Dionn is an ivorian-born and bred designer who discovered AFRICAN SPIRITUALITY and the power of the Cowry. The designer believes ‘Today, knowledge is within reach, we (as Africans) must seize it. It is time for us black Africans to reconcile with our heritage and reclaim our culture; our spirituality, our gods and embrace it. Our history, we must write it for ourselves.’
This was very evident in her stunning outfit that was worn by Novi Brown. Novi Brown is an actor, writer, storyteller, beauty enthusiast, and natural hair advocate. She has recently come to the limelight after being cast in “Sistas,”.
Novi Brown wore a cowry embellished black fitted asymmetric bandeau dress, with a high slit to the left leg. If you want to see something impressive and the best dress on the BET red carpet, just enjoy the images below.
