Mai Atafo delights in the use of soft colors that’s normally in line with the core essence of his menswear brand, he personally believes this collection will drive a trend in menswear. As he said, “men can wear colors and still look amazing”.
True to his words, he made a presentation that was really exciting, the collection was vibrant and colourful with a lot of inspiration from traditional native menswear in the south-south region of Nigeria, with some womenwear influences from south-west and northern parts of Nigeria.
Well tailored and bestspoke suits with fine textured material. He made use of print fabrics making the pieces look more presentable and highly yielding. You don’t get to see any stiffness about the dresses, all you see is that cute appealing sense of touch, expecially for the womenswear. Not so much to do with cuts and backdrops, just a normal style of designing which can be related to modern trends in African Fashion.
