Malian Model Strangled To Death By Her Husband Right Before 2018 & Rumours Indicate It’s Politically Motivated

A Malian model has passed away, and is believed to have been strangled to death by her husband. Fanta Sekou whom I personally knew and spoke with for 5 years which began when I encouraged to get her involved in modeling. She ended participate in a Malian model competition, Top Model Mali and won as well as participated in many fashion shows. Even later visited Ghana on a number of occasions in regards to modelling activities.

It was devastating to family, friends, and others in the Malian society when the news recently broke to the wider society by Akim Soul, Malian journalist and event organizer in Mali, that she had been strangled to death by her husband.

With a faulty translation from French reports, it seems she was killed by her husband somewhere between the night of Thursday to Friday 29 December 2017. Fanta born in 1990. She is the daughter of Sékou Fofana, special adviser to the president of the republic of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

It is believed by some that this crime is a political motivation because her husband also is an agent of the presidency. Other sources reveal that she was killed after being kidnapping based on a jealousy crisis. The President of the republic of IBK was present at her funeral this Friday at Hamdallaye with her father in the district of Bamako. Currently the killer is in the hands of the police.

This is following other Malian political husband-wife murders in the past such as Ms. Dicko Mariam Diallo who was stabbed to death on 5 February 2015 by her husband, and kamissa, shot by her husband on 23 January 2016, which stirs up a string of conspiracies in the nation.
