Miss South Africa just did the unexpected and crowned a new queen, and she is black, beautiful, and bald and her name is Shudufhadzo Musida. The 24-year-old beauty Shudufhadzo Musida was crowned Miss SA 2020 at the Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town on October 24, 2020.
In 2019, black girl magic swept the whole world of the pageant where we saw Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss USA and also the Award-winning model of the year all black girls. Miss Universe South Africa Zozibini Tunzi was the first to kick it off after winning Miss Universe.
It seems like Miss South Africa is ready to push the bar a bit further with natural beauty because Shudufhadzo Musida is definitely far from the unconventional pretty type that has been glamorized in western media for a year. Her stunning cheekbones, skin tone, and eyes are definitely a fabulous depiction of native and real South African beauty.
If the black girl magic trend wasn’t just for show or diversity sympathy we can expect her to win this year’s Miss World, unfortunately, if not, we can expect otherwise. Shudufhadzo, a Limpopo native beat 15 other contestants from across South Africa to bag the coveted title.
