Teyana Me Shay Jacqueli Shumpert is an American singer, actress, dancer and choreographer. She made her first national appearance on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16, but most in Africa will know her from ‘Coming2America’ as the proposed bride and daughter of dictator General Izza.
Well, last month Teneya proved she is more than just a face for show and wanted to endulge herself in the clothing world and business of fashion. Teyana and her six-year-old daughter Iman “Junie” Shumpert surprised the world by becoming an iconic design duo behind a new fashion line, JuJuBeez.
The new collection is inspired by Taylor’s love for the “collision of masculine and feminine styles within her own wardrobe” while boasting to bring a new meaning to “effortless mommy [and] me style,” the fashion line’s website states.
“I’ve always wanted to create a world for Junie that shows there are no limits, fear isn’t real, and you can do whatever you dream to do,” Taylor said, per Women’s Wear Daily. The last time we featured her on FashionGHANA>com was when she was spotted rocking a bogolan jacket we couldn’t overlook.
The 31-year-old singer and choreographer teamed up with the next-gen fashion brand incubator, Thmbl, to build the collection. Dubbed a “mama-and-mini collection,” according to Taylor, the new line intentionally offers matching adult and children’s activewear styles for parents to twin with their kids.
The musician and actress recently published more campaign images on her timeline, see the outfits in the new campaign images below.
