Popular blogger Nigerian lifestyle and beauty blogger Kehinde Smith took to instagram to let her Nigerian friends know Ghana Jollof is really what Ghanaian’s say it is, in a picture of her munching the juicy ingredients of Ghanaian food captioned ‘Ok y’all were definitely tripping.. Ghana Jollof is a GOAL 🇬🇭 9ja please don’t @ me.’ Unlike CNN’s Richard Quest, the look on her face shows she wasn’t paid to say so.
Although a few Nigerian responded with deportation threats (jokes), things got real when Tiwa Savage decided to join in the battle without joining in the battle. Kind of like how Melania Trump complimented Lebron after being insulted by Donald, Tiwa decided to drop the comment “I love Ghana” and fly right out. Of which halimat.magaji replied “@tiwasavage do you want me to add your name to the deportation list as well?”. see below.
Nigerians and Ghanaians can be competitive at times, but why Jollof is even being considered to used in such scenarios is puzzling.
