Smock is made of hand-loomed strips popularly called Strip cloth. They are made of a mixture of dyed and undyed cotton loom, and are originally from the northern part of Ghana and other parts of West Africa. The strips are sewn together by hand or machine giving the smock a plaid appearance. Kente has been one of the traditional cloths that the people of Africa especially Ghana cherish a lot. it’s mostly worn by Chiefs, Kings, Elders and big men and women at big occasions. It defines their culture and shows their origin. Beside the natural beauty enhancement it brings on the people who wears it, it gives you the potential to love, feel at home and be proud of your culture. Unlike most brides of late who used Kente (another special Ghanaian traditional cloth)for their special day, this bride and groom are beyond stunning in an amazing smock made outfit made by SDBespoke fashion house. The bride’s sparkling joy is just a perfect blend with her overall look. This couple are surely going to make the smock a trend for brides and grooms to be.All images captured by cliq Kofi.
