He displayed collections that featured both and marked the difference for having chosen songs by Cesaria Evora as ‘background’ music during his show. Alzerina stayed in Praia to run a workshop which was deemed “fantastic”. “Those who participated were prepared, they already had some basis, with certain questions regarding ‘ fashion business’, what needs to be done, etc … it was very good,” he says. The designer also talked to SAPO about his designs. “I like sewing evening dresses very much, I like to make women feel more feminine. When I have worked a lot in jewelry, the next step in the clothes is a ‘hobby’. My dresses are always unique pieces and do them when I feel that ‘thirst’ to sew. I grew up between the seam and seeing my mother sew “he says. Vanny Reis, founder of the event and Vaiss Models agency, stated “in terms of quality this year was much better than last year.” “Both designers and exhibitors did more. We had a magnificent fashion show. I think it’s the first time I have come this far with events, this is quality work. As for the public, it is normal to have people liking very stylish work but we need those who are ready to spend” she smiles. Said on behalf of the organization, who are content with the achieved result. “I am sure that people who watched the show loved it, now it is for them to continue supporting, because it is difficult to make an event like this without support as it happened this year. As long as there are designers and brands, there will be Vaiss Fashion Day. I think it’s an event to stay and is already a landmark and after what we have seen today we have every reason to want to continue,” she concludes.
