As Accra works its way up to becoming one of the trendiest cities on the planet Earth, fashion exec and retailers are planting business seeds in town to extend their trade into the +233 vicinity.
Daniel Diyepriye is one such designer who has pulled as many a crowd to his Nkari fashion show on the 3rd of January. This is unimaginable that after a hectic eventful month December, when most Ghanaians have spent the most chunk of their money, there could have been such attendance.
The most fascinating attribute is the spontaneous sense of trending free casual styles the show was blessed with. If you were at the event, you would have enjoyed the high fashion pyrotechnics and the glamorous casual styles the designer is known for. That’s just a great way to drift from being a fashion brand to be a fashion house.
THE NKARI COLLECTION
Nkari which means Land of Abundance, finally made its place in the city of Accra. The new year opened a new beginning for the designer who seeks to drift from being a fashion brand to a fashion house. With their first-ever runway event, the fashion brand shows great potential to be a household name in the industry.
The harmattan Nkari Collection featured branded t-shirts and other leather costumes that have style and culture, impact, and heritage all play a part. The designer’s wish is to run as far away from African stereotypes
as possible while still representing the continent.
It seems Daniel Diyepriye might be here to alter the fashion taste buds of Ghanaians. See a few images below.
