Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 721 It is easy to write articles and hold conferences where you can reiterate what you want people to think about you, or in fact, what you want people to think people think about you, however, reality always finds its way to sieve through branding. This was the reality of president Akufo-Addo on Saturday 24th September at the Global Citizen Festival. A night in Ghana of popular international musicians witnessed performances from popular artists such as Stormzy, Usher, and Sza, as well as our very own Gyakie, Sarkodie, and more. Or maybe the idea might have come from the Flagstaff house itself (the office for the Ghanaian president). This idea must have manifested through the organization with the assumption that on a glorious amazing night, probably executed by Ghanaian tax dollars, Ghanaians will be grateful for their president hosting such a big (foreign brand) show and cheer him on as he approaches the stage. After all, the only real accolade he has at the moment Ghanaians can all agree on is his contribution to the supposed ‘year of return’ concept. Unfortunately for him, the government’s involvement in the Global Citizen Festival was not enough to help the Ghanaian people forget about his year of bad nation management and the other rumors of financial extortion that plague his party members. From the moment president, Nana Akufo-Addo approached the stage he was met with severe boos. This happened in front of the participating international musicians as well as 7 million viewers watching worldwide. Watch the moment below. Read More Like This On Ghana Politics UPCOMING TOP EVENTS!
