Miss World 2021 has just come to an end on the event of March 2022 with Poland’s Karoline Bielawska scooping the Miss World title, USA Shree Saini as the first runners-up, and Africa’s hopeful Olivia Yace as the 2nd runner up.

Karolina Bielawska Wins Miss World 2021.

The reason for witnessing Miss World 2021 in March 2022 is due to the postponing of the December event last year. Olivia Yace was the most adored contestant in the competition. However, it seems when there is no wave of black girl magic, when we are not in a year of black lives matter, selecting a black face for Miss World just isn’t the way to go.

The competition witnessed 40 semi-finalists and 12 finalists of which Africa’s participation was dominated by west Africans. The four countries were Botswana, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, and Guinea.

The newly crowned blonde hair and blue-eyed queen Karoline Bielawska will carry her title until December 2022 considering the next event is not postponed. Truth be told, the decision behind the queen selection must be done with the invisible hand that carries a fat wallet and maybe Africa just isn’t in tune with it, hence the confusion year after year. Simply a joke for a beauty pageant, although some Africans will celebrate the 2nd runners up title.
