PRESS RELEASE: GHANA MENSWEAR WEEK 2021 PARTNERS WOODIN & TECNO MOBILE GHANA
Ghana Menswear Week (GHMW), the only men’s fashion showcase in the country is set to hold its 5th edition on the 27th and 28th of August in Accra, Ghana after a year’s break due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent ban on shows in 2020.
This year’s event dubbed #VIRTUALSHOWCASE is in partnership with Africa’s number one fabric brand Woodin Ghana, online fashion and lifestyle blog Melange Africa and Mobile telephone giant TECNO Mobile Ghana will be held virtually online and Television in line with the new normal of migrating events globally via the internet.
The ‘virtual showcase’ edition will feature a Business of Fashion Seminar on Friday 27th August 2021 via Woodin Ghana and Ghana Menswear week and other partner online channels to a global audience. The Seminar is aimed at bringing together industry experts to share knowledge on Men’s Fashion, Style and how fashion brands and creatives can leverage and take advantage of the online boom and migration to market their businesses.
The main runway show which will feature the best of menswear designers and Models in Ghana and across the continent will premiere on Gh One TV, Woodin Ghana, Fashion Gh TV and other partner online channels on Saturday 27th August 2021.
Meanwhile, the official event website www.ghanamenswearweek.com has been out doored to help promote participating designers and partners for this year’s event and beyond serving as an e-commerce platform for the public to buy the attires that will be showcased on the runway.
Ghana Menswear week is a yearly fashion showcase launched in 2016 by Fame Model Management. The aim of GHMW is to create a platform for the showcase of new collections by creative men’s wear designers and brands. We aim to bring together men’s wear designers, buyers, men’s services providers, bloggers and consumers under one roof. Through GHMW, we also aim to recognize Emerging and Established Designers as well as Models.

Volta Fashion Week, Awards and Honors will be happening this year from 10th-12th February at the serene Holy Trinity Spa and Hotel in the Volta region Of Ghana. All-African Leather Fair (AALF): the trade show organizing by The Ethiopian Leather Industries Association
(ELIA) from the first edition in 2008 up to 12th successfully. AALF brings together tanners, footwear and
other leather goods manufacturers, in addition of equipment and technology suppliers, chemical and
inputs suppliers, manpower training institutions, trade promotion organizations, etc from all over the
world.

Due to the Global market situation and the pandemic impact the leather sector in Ethiopia and Africa at
large heavily affected. It is expected that the upcoming AALF trade fair will play its role in motivating the
sector in market expansion, facilitating inter Africa business relation .Investment Attraction, Technology
transfer and etc… To motivate the sector The government starts school shoe and bag project under the
initiation the manufacturing sector “Let Ethiopia produce “ “ Ethiopia Tamret“ as the sector dependent
on inputs such as chemical, accessories and component supplier will be expected in wide participation.

countries participations, Fashion Zone(where many designers will participating by showing the Fashion
trends) Talent show (leather products creativity, any innovation creativity in the sector ) in addition to this
Ethiopia Leather journal upgraded to Africa Leather journal (sector based studies ,research and potential facts for Africa will be published inspirational descriptive motto also included .
