Overall, Naomi Campbell by far has had the biggest impact in the modeling industry as a model overall and as a black model to not forget. However, that is including her longevity in the industry, its time was to boil down simply to their heydays and stardom moments, there is no doubt one can not give the title to Grace Jones.
Grace Beverly Jones is a Jamaican-American model, singer, songwriter, and actress. She ranked 82nd on VH1’s 100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll in 1999, and in 2008, she was honored with a Q Idol Award. Jones influenced the cross-dressing movement of the 1980s and mothered the bold outlandish presentation of artists such Annie Lennox, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Solange, Lorde, Róisín Murphy, Brazilian Girls, Nile Rodgers, Santigold, and Basement Jaxx.
Grace Jones made her mark as the wildest, fiercest models in the industry during her time. And if her persona was really what was on camera, then she was definitely uncontrollable. Her name isn’t recognized half as much as it needs to be but her moments as a model is unforgettable.
Winnie Harlow wasted no time when it came to glorifying the legend during Halloween. Not sure if it was the best time to recognise Grace Jones, but praise is praise nonetheless. With all credits due, Winnie Harlow took on mantle of directing this shoot and by far did an amazing job. In fact, there should definitely be a door opening as a creative director for the beautiful fashion model.
Nothing much impressive was executed this Halloween but it seems Winnie turned that around, feast your eyes on her bringing Grace Jones back to life.
