Zambian photography enthusiast Cornelius Chellah Mulenga Tukuta from Zambia took the African photographer of the year award in Nigeria at the Lens Awards. The event was held in Victoria Island in Lagos State organised by Bliss Media who are also the major organisers of the World Photography Day celebrations in Nigeria and Africa
The event did not only host African based photographers but also photographers from more foreign countries including India and Britain. Peter Chellah is a renown fashion, lifestyles and landscape photographer in the Zambia and many parts of Southern region of Africa. And his enthusiastic updates and online vlogging built him a large following for his work.
The photographer has shot models, faces and fashion events around the continent including South Africa Fashion Week, Zambian Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Joburg and the world famous, Accra Fashion Week where he made his name in the country Ghana.
Accra Fashion Week will host him next month at the Providence Events Centre during the Summer/Harmattan 17 event, said to feature over 70 designers.
