The Angolan designer who has held the title as the best designer from the nation is also a two time ‘Designer Of The Year’ at the Golden Globes Awards for both 2015 and 2019. In Africa, the fashion world is divided amongst three speaking languages, Angolphone, Francophone and then the Portuguese. Soraya De Piedade international popularity extends through mainly the Portuguese speaking nations but has also gained many admirers from other parts of Africa.
