Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, actor, and CEO of Shatta Movement Empire. He won Artiste of the Year at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his best known single “Dancehall King”, and has appeared in films such as Never Say Never, The trial of Shatta Wale, and Shattered Lives. His most recent accolade was his feature on Beyonce’s ‘Already’ song.
There is no denying Shatta Wale has been a lady’s man and it’s becoming clearer especially from the results of his ever-growing popularity. This time the hitmaker set his eyes on curvy Ghanain tik tok and instagram star who rose to fame by flaunting her hips and backside on social media.
The artists caused a stir by inviting many bloggers to witness the arrival of Hajia Bintu to the music video, where it was announced she will be acting as a video vixen for his upcoming track, now revealed as ‘Hajia Bintu’ named after her. This followed shortly after he announced his new sign on artists which he took to the radio stations, who were also heavily endowed, as seen below.
Questions Raised As To The Relevance Of ‘Hajia Bintu’ Song
These antics are leaving some to arrive to the conclusion that the music superstar is using his platform for alternative activities subjective to his actual career.
The cliche of the Hajia Bintu song raises the question of its relevance. Shatta Wale already has hits for ladies such as ‘Melissa’ and more, all very recent. To utilize his popularity and put together a very sub-standard song, with a low budget, virtually boring, video is questionable. It comes off in the public eye as it possibly could be a favour in return to popularise the tik tok/instagram star. Who knows!
Anyways the Ghanaian award-winning Dancehall musician teamed up with Captan and Ara-B on this tune. Watch the video below.
