It’ seems the days of American police killing black men are outnumbered. Usually, in most cases there are always ways to twist the story to give some alternative viewpoint to why the killed another African American. Yesterday we learned in the case of George Floyd, this isn’t the truth.
Besides donations, we know the celebrities won’t do much, and even if they do it won’t exceed the amount of money racists will donate to the murderers and the police force. Nevertheless, it doesn’t hurt to appreciate them spreading awareness about the incident.
Many celebrities from Cardi B to Diddy to Ciara have voiced their opinion. There is no denying what happened to George Floyd was a complete violation of human rights by America as it always has been. Renowned iconic singer Madonna didn’t just share a video of his executing, she took to her Instagram to share a video published by George Floyd advising young black men to exercise more gun control amongst themselves.
Why does this matter? Because there has been a pattern of the culture in America to seek out every negative act of any black man unlawfully killed to help tarnish their image. Watch the words of the man that was killed yesterday in broad daylight.
