Viola Davis who is allegedly worth 15 million United States dollars has won many awards including a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award For her work as an actress. Consequently, she also became the first Black woman to win an Oscar, an Emmy, and a Tony for acting.
So it is no denying she is the apple of the eye of many people around the world. One such person is the founder and CEO of hand paint clothing brand Adjasam based right here in Ghana, Aku Shika.
Adjasam formally known as Adjasam Apparel is a one-stop brand for those who love art on fashion. The clothing brand hosts clothes with moderate pricing, with hand-painted designs, mainly of faces and African women.
According to the founder Aku Shika, she recently found out about Viola Davis after watching her interview on Oprah Winfrey. She was so moved by Viola she decided to read more and eventually expressed her admiration for the actress in her latest and only outfit published on her Instagram page (after deleting previous posts).
The outfit was smothered with a beautiful Viola Davis smiling picture as well as quotes and excerpts from her book. In an attempt to catch Viola Davis’s attention, the designer requested her followers to tag the actress on the page resulting in roughly 100 people doing just about that.
She posted the dress with the following caption “@violadavis if you ever get to see this, I will want to personally (via text or in-person) tell you that your life even though was super tough, is interesting to me. I don’t listen to personal life stories because it traumatises me but for whatsoever reason, i did yours and I’m glad i did. I have something to tell you alone😌💐”
Right before asking friends and family to contact the actress on her behalf. The post was made 10 days ago and unfortunately, there has been zero response from the actress to date. However, it is not surprising, these are very busy times, as she has just rounded up roles in ‘King Woman’ and ‘Black Panther 2’ plus all the other sitcoms she stars in.
Nevertheless, if you are a fan of Viola Davis, one can enjoy the visuals of the outfit below starring Christy Ukata and reach out to Adjasam to get their edit.

Ghana’s leading fashion event Accra Fashion Week is scheduled for 7-11 December 2022 following their 5th-year celebration last year in 2021. Accra Fashion Week is a platform for African designers that can be compared to fashion weeks across the major capitals. It aims to fill the void which sees tremendous creativity and culture across the continent with the absence of an operating fashion infrastructure.
The epic event took place at Ghana Dubai in Accra, and saw models march down the steps from the Kwame Nkrumah Monument whilst being followed by a spotlight, before circulating the central fountains. Memories of the exciting night still give chills as guests revisit the experience on youtube.
However, rest assured that 2022 is going to be even more exciting with greater performances and an upgraded designer collection. FashionGHANA.com is sure to bring you the exclusives we did on www.FashionGHANA.com/TV. All last year’s shows are available to watch on youtube. Designer’s registration is ongoing on the AccraFashionWeek.org website.
