Christie Brown Goes Head to Head With Eki Orleans, Lanre de Silva- Ajayi and Jennifer Ewah For African Fashion Star Prize

Ghanaian property development company Beaufort Properties is proud to be the Key Sponsor for African Fashion Star a competition taking place in Lagos to recognise the work of talented fashion designers across Africa. This year’s contenders are Aisha Obuobi (Christie Brown), Hazel Aggrey Orleans, Lanre de Silva- Ajayi and Jennifer Ewah. The event will be taking place at the Porsche Centre as part of Lagos Fashion and Design Week on the 24th to 26th October 2013.

Beaufort Properties is an Accra based property development company with the vision of creating truly iconic buildings within Accra and across Africa. The journey has started with a front page grabbing design for Beaufort’s newest development, Beaufort Ridge.

Beaufort Properties has chosen to support this initiative as they were impressed by the vision and drive of Roberta Annan. Roberta says ‘My passion for the development of Africa especially through the lifestyle and fashion industry is unmatched’. This has been exemplified through Roberta’s career and work with Fashion 4 Development, the initiative that saw the special issue of high fashion magazine ‘Vogue’ called ‘Rebranding Africa’. The winner of the African Fashion Star competition will have a chance to win a paid internship with the fashion brand EDUN based in New York City, classes at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and a contract with Frallain to have their collection featured under their brand.

Frallain Inc., EDUN and the Fashion Institute of Technology with the support of Beaufort Properties have come together to offer this exciting opportunity to young skilled designers to make their mark on the global fashion stage.
