Two countries separated by Western interests bind together for the progress of their fashion industry. The Congo Fashion Week follows shortly after the Kinshasa Fashion Week that occurred roughly a month ago. Congo Fashion Week 2013 is predicted to be a spectacular event with many sponsors confirmed and some participating designers from foreign countries including Ghana, Gabon, France and more. The two Fashion Weeks have helped established international branding for some Congolese designers. Some names that are now becoming highly recognisable are Djibril Kachidi, Alexis Ngoma, Cherry Esam, Louison Mbeya and Marcia Creations.
