Fans of Wale will know he’s always been open about his Nigerian roots and even featured on a few songs by African artists like Olamide and more. However, he’s taken a full turn into the Afrobeat culture with this new track.

 

There is a simply method to this, simply take something simple for your chorus, something someeone who doesn’t speak nglish can mimick and extend/stress the last vowel and bounce whilst singing it, repeat it lots and you are halfway to making an afrobeat song. The rest is in the instrumental.
