There is Kenya and Nairobi Fashion Week going on now, Congo Fashion Week set for September, Ghana Fashion & Design Week 2013 to come sometime in October. Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2013 in Ghana in November, Swahili Fashion Week 2013 in December, and Durban Fashion Fair 2013 just ended.

Entering its fourth year, Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2013 will be held at Sam Levy’s Village, Borrowdale, from the 29th – 31st of August 2013 and will showcase designers and artists from Zimbabwe and the continent under the theme “Fashion Through The Ages”, a tribute to centuries of creativity and artistic endeavor that stand today as the most significant symbols of any historical period or expression of national identity.
Founded by Priscilla Chigariro-Gessen in October 2009, Zimbabwe Fashion Week is Zimbabwe’s premier fashion event. Its’ main purpose is to create a platform for Zimbabwean Designers to showcase their creations as well as to help rekindle what was once a thriving textile and fashion industry.
Zimbabwe Fashion Week continues to grow from strength to strength with the unwavering support of Zimbabwean corporates, media, personalities, and the Zimbabwean people.
